Wisdom House weekend Retreat

What is the benefit of participating in retreats? It is an amazing chance to face ourselves, develop self-awareness and make a positive change in our lives. Retreats are designed to be intensive in order to really allow us to sift past the everyday thoughts and delve deeper into observing our mind and body in action.
It takes a strong person to be willing to face
our own feelings and thoughts and not be
deterred or give up. Without some determination,
we will never get out of the Fisherman’s net. No
matter how high we jump or which direction,
we’re still caught. This method enables us to go
beyond thought, opinions, analysis and all
things that we normally do to improve ourselves.
This is the real solution as the Buddha taught
2500 years ago. It is still taught because it
still works for all who put forth the right
effort. Don’t be discouraged, just practice,
just do it! Beyond what logic tells us is
possible, sheer time and effort will help us
make progress.
The path was laid out by nature, anyone who
walks the path can make progress. We all have
the same original mind that we need to uncover
through our effort. No other activity is more
worthy.
We are extremely fortunate to have Achan Da
Nilpant and Achan Nipen Nontamart leading and
guiding our meditation. Finding monks with this
level of expertise is extremely rare. Take
advantage, it’s an opportunity of a lifetime.
